| Unable to edit content from the front end |

Why can't I edit content from the front end? Could be one of two reasons. A common cause for this in most cases is that the item is "checked out". Meaning that the item is either being edited by another user, which is common, or it could be that the last time someone used (opened) the file it wasn't saved (closed) properly. If you happen to be the last person who edited the item this can be easily remedied. Log in to the backend, go to the content manager and find the article/item you want to work on. It will have a image of lock next to the name of the article. Open the file, save it or cancel it. When the content manager is reloaded, the lock should be removed and you can resume your editing. Another way to remedy this is to have someone with superadministrator privileges use the Global Checkin to check in all checked out items. If using this option be sure that no one is currently working on a file or all their info will be lost. Of course, properly saving your work is neccessary to avoid the above mentioned issue. To do so, it is important to close by either clicking the "Save" button (picture of floppy disk) or the "Cancel" button (Red X).
