Mile Square Physical Therapy in Hoboken & Clifton New Jersey converted from GoDaddy's basic hosting and web tools to a new Joomla 1.5 site. Though we did not make the original design, we converted what they had to a Joomla 1.5 template based off the default BEEZ template to utilize the CSS enlarge font features as they have senior clients who may need bigger text. Additionally, we made the Joomla site SEO by establishing a core keyword cluster, utilizing SEFs and a variety of other custom modifications. Now, the client can add more content as they desire, as well as 1500 different "plug ins" as needed. In short order, because of the SEO/ SEF, we expect the site to start ranking well for it's geo specific keywords "Hoboken Psychical Therapy", etc. If they continue with their online marketing efforts, this site is primed for success.

Updates include:

1) Comments are now ADDED to outbound emails. The customer or staff person no longer needs to log into the originating site to read the comments left. They only need to log in if they want to ask an additional question or add an attachment

2) In the back end configuration control panel we have added the ability to pre-select STAFF members for assignment in the LEAD DATA control panel.

3) In the back end and front end we have added a function for PRIVATE COMMENTS between the ADMIN and STAFF persons. This way the lead manager can ask a private question of the STAFF person regarding a specific lead. This works the opposite way as well. The STAFF person can ask the ADMIN specific questions as well. Either way, private questions are hidden from the CUSTOMER.

4) In the LEAD CONTROL panel, there is an option to ADD A LEAD. This is especially useful for 3rd party leads that arrive outside of the parent site. Say, for example, you have a lead source with NAME, EMAIL and PHONE NUMBER that you want to ADD and ASSIGN to a specif sales person. The admin can just log into the back end > Forms LT > Lead DATA > ADD LEAD, and follow the simple point-click steps to manually add the lead.

5) We have removed some of the various default messages that say FROMS LT. Now, these messages will be based on the info in the Joomla Global Configuration control panel SITE NAME field. So, if your site is called John Smith, the system will send emails with a generic signature of Regards John Smith Team.

Below is a new PayPal Phishing scam we received in email inbox today. It's fairly clever with it's new subject line as "Dispute Transaction". Though they sent it to our email address which is NOT tied to our PayPal account, it did entice me to open in.

As you can see from the layout, use of the paypal logo,font's, etc., that this looks pretty darn close to an real notice from PayPal. Also not the transaction amount is "legitimate" looking, as well as all the other items.

If you are like me, my first thought was, "#$%$#! someone is using my PayPal account. Identity Fraud! You bet I'm going to dispute this charge."

However, when I hovered over the DISPUTE TRANSACTION link, I noticed the URL was NOT a PAYPAL address.

So, instead, of clicking (never, never click a suspicious email link), I checked my PayPal account and the transaction is NOT in my account. If it were, I would file a complaint through the OFFICIAL PAYPAL website.

Upon further inspection of the email, you can see the shipping info is also not Serr.biz, or anyone in our office.

So, if you receive such an email, just delete it and report the incident at PayPal Report Phishing.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our newest clients website: ArnhemGroup.com. ArnhemGroup.com manufactures all-natural flavor enhancers for the food and beverage industry. Their primary products include Oh So Sweet - a sugar alternative made with citrus extract which is 1000 times sweeter than sugar and Flavex Technologies. This site was built using Joomla 1.5, Article Attachments, SerrBiz Forms LT, and sh404. In just a few days Google has cached most of it's pages and they should start enjoying a better SERP as they execute upon our custom SEO strategies and comprehensive emarketing plan.

Serr.biz has released a new version of Forms LT. Many of you have downloaded this component for Joomla 1.0, and we assume, enjoyed and are using successsfully. However, we also know there were some bugs. Since we have moved on to Joomla 1.5, we have not corrected any of those bugs for the J 1.0 version.

However, the new version which works in LEGACY MODE of Joomla 1.5, has had the bugs corrected, plus, we added a new function to the LEAD DATA control panel. You can now DELETE the LEADS you no longer need.

Additionally, we are working on a module function, as well as integration with Constant Contact. How cool will that be? Those functions are still in development. But, for now, the component has been debugged and is ready to use in Joomla 1.5.

To cover our costs of development, we are releasing Forms LT Legacy as commercial component. Each purchase will help fund the next version.
