How do you know what version you have?  Easy. If you download SerrBizSEF AFTER November 4th 2007, you have the correct version. How to Install Forms LT

Like any Joomla component, simply log into the Joomla Admin, go to installers, components, browse, select the component, upload, and you are done!  Forms LT is now installed on your Joomla Site.

Before we configure, please prepare a content item that you want to have a form on.

Also, you should set up a Privacy Policy and Terms Of Service pages.

Now that that is done, let’s configure Forms LT.

Go to components, Forms LT.  It’s the little orange icon.

When clicked, you will be taken to an index page.  Click CONFIGURATION.

1) Set the ADMIN EMAIL.  This email address will receive a copy of ALL leads generated through your forms.

2) Decide what format to use:  TEXT OR HTML.  We prefer TEXT as the emails are less likely to get caught in spam traps.

3) Enter the FROM email address.  We recommend using a bogus email such as This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Why?  Because spammers will fill out your forms, just to get your email and will spam you.

4) Set the subject line.  This should be something generic like: RE: YourDomain.com request. The use of RE: tends to have a better OPEN rate than not.  It lets people know you are REPLYING to something they requested

5) Set the DEFAULT MESSAGE.  This message should be something like: "Thank you for requesting information.  We will respond ASAP."  This message will be seen in the VALIDATION emails sent to the client, if you use that option.

6) Set your default CAN SPAM ACT COMPLIANCE.  Basically, it should say something like: We comply with the CAN SPAM ACT. You received this email because you requested it.  If this was a mistake, please unsubscribe by visiting YourDomain.com and deleting your account.

7) If you choose, you can show links to the TOS and Privacy policy of your site.  If yes, then choose the content item items for each below.

8) At the top of the control panel is a tab called : Custom Fields. This is where we set the ORDER of the FIELDS when the FORMS are generated in the public pages. Just change the order, and click SAVE. If you create additional CUSTOM fields, this is where you can set the order as well.
