What does the Components Panel in the Configuration panel do?

The components tab in the configuration control panel let's you turn on or off any 3rd party component that SerrBizSEF has special rules for.

If turned off, SerrBizSEF will ignore URLS related specifically to the component. In this case, the default Joomla SEFs will take over.

If turned on, SerrBizSEF will create search engine friendly URLS for items associated to the component.

In some components, it is advisable, from an SEO point of view, to use a custom name for the component. For example. VirtueMart, by default has the name of "market". SerrBizSEF will create a url like this:

/market/category/product_title.html

From an SEO point of view, it may be advisable to rename the VirtuMart from market to buy.

If so, then SerrBizSEF will create a search engine friendly URL like this:

/buy/category/product_title.html
