What does the SET LINK function do?

As you should know, Joomla will create numerous dynamic URLS for ONE content item based on how the item is found.

If you access an item through the main menu, one unique dynamic URL is created.

If you access an item through an RSS fee, another unique dynamic URL is created.

This goes on, and on, and on depending on your menus, components, modules, etc.

As we've said before, this is a HUGE problem regarding SEO.  To address this, SerrBizSEF uses the SET LINK function.  The set link function lets you define which internal URL should be shown when a specific SEF is called.

If there is a blue I icon next to an SEF, it means there is more than ONE internal URL available for the SEF.  If, for some reason you do not want to show the default internal URL that was selected by SerrBizSEF, you can manually change it whatever internal URL you desire.

Note: Be sure to look at each new page you create to make sure the correct items are being displayed. For example, if you use the frontpage functions of Joomla, the "navigation" path may be different from what it would be if you navigated to the item through the main menu.  If so, open in the SET LINK window in the SerrBizSEF and choose the correct internal ID.
