sh404 You must provide a URL for the redirection

Question:

I recently upgraded sh404 to version com_sh404SEF-15_1.0.11_Beta_build_147.joomla1.5.x.  The "preserve" settings function worked nicely.  However I had to test some things so went into the advanced mode of the configuration control panel.  Whenever I try to save the changes, sh404 returns an error that reads "You must provide a URL for the redirection." Nothing I change or set will allow me to make changes.  However, if I change back to the basic mode, everything works fine, but I don't have access to advance settings, which are what I need.  I tried rolling back to com_sh404SEF-15_1.0.7_Beta_build_133.joomla1.5.x as I had skipped that update.  Same problem.  What to do?

Answer:

We have spent some time on this exact same issue. Unfortunately, there is no answer for this problem yet. We have contacted the developer by leaving a message in the forum, but no one has answered.  Our solution, though not ideal, was to roll back to version: com_sh404SEF-15_1.0.5_Beta_build_128.joomla1.5.x. If and when the developer provides a solution, we will post it here.
