    Check out the power of a well optimized Youtube channel. Last night we (Serr.biz in association with GalileoTechMedia.com) made a quick sample video for a real estate agent in South Carolina. If you watch the video you'll see it was a simple montage with a voice over, music and is only 48 seconds long. Given that local real estate agents have to compete with monsters such as Realtor.com, Trulia.com, Zillow and others, we opted to target a geo specific, long tail phrase and titled the video "4 bedroom Johns Island SC". As you can see from the screen shot, in 10 hours, the video, because of it's content and our optimized Youtube channel and related social branded network, rose to number two in the YouTube search results page when we searched the exact phrase. Given that the Serr.biz network never referenced South Carolina before, does not have any citations anywhere related to South Carolina, nor does our live site reference South Carolina (before this article) we are pleased with the super fast results. The point is, if you commit to optimizing your YouTube channel, your Youtube videos, even if they are off topic can quickly rise in the search results, at least in Youtube.

    For awhile now SEO's have known the importance of https (SSL) for SEO, but it has not been entirely embraced. Back in August, Google started sending webmasters via the Search Console, direct messages such as the following:

    In this video we show a live screen capture of a local Youtube seo marketing video we made for our client CBOstyle.com. In about an hour, the video we made hit the top 10 of Google search results in both the organic search as well as the video. As usual, there will be some fluctuation of the video, but given the relatively little competition for the specific phrase, it will likely settle into the top ten permanently. Of course, it also helps that the client continues to produce relevant geo local videos.

    A couple weeks ago we shot a Youtube video titled Salisbury Antique Appraisals for our client Peenstra Appraisals. After editing down the two hours of raw video footage into an 8 minute highlight piece, we posted it on Youtube, PeenstraAppraisals.com and related social networks including their official branded blog: PeenstraAppraisals.wordpress.com.

    Literally, in 58 minutes according to Google, Peenstra Appraisals , who had NO previous SERP for the targeted key term made it into the top ten of Google. This is pretty darn fast since there are over 122K pages competing for the same space. In a few days or so we expect the Youtube video along with the parent website site to replace the SERP result seen in the video. We'll check again in a week or so and post an update to the results.     Here are some interesting stats direct from Google about how hispanic consumers interact and engage with Youtube. Most interesting is that more Hispanics watch Youtube than any cable network. Hmm. Additionally, 60% watch in English, 28% both English and Spanish, while only 12% watch in Spanish most of the time. Hmm. So, an easy conclusion here, is if you want to attract the Hispanic audience specifically, you need to be on Youtube. Plus, it's much less expensive to be on Youtube than on cable or other national TV programs.
