Blogger Hosted Anime Website SEO Tips

SEO tips for Anime site hosted on blogger

Over at Quaro there was a request to help improve SEO for an Anime site hosted on Blogger: https://www.animekayo.cf/

To start, we would never host a site on Blogger as there are limitations to what you can do.We only use Blogger as a distribution point for official brand content.

That aside, this site had the following SEO errors.

SEO Errors To Fix

1) Title: A little short on the home page. It's only 9 characters. Titles can be up to 70 characters. So, they should go through the site and increase their titles.

2) The meta description of the home page is lite. It only has 21 characters. They should improve that.

3) They have 18 characters in the keyword tag, which should be removed completely. Don't use the meta keyword tag.

4) 9 images are missing alt tags.

5) Text / HTML ratio is light. They only have 9% text to HTML. They need to increase the amound of unique content.

5) Micro formats are not validating.

6) Schema tags are missing.

7) Open graph is not validating properly.

8) No language is specified.

SEO Audit summary:

Because this site is hosted on blogger, it may be difficult / impossible to change some of the more technical issues such as microformats / Schema, Open graph, language. Also, they pretty much have no ability to optimize their URL structure, which we didn't look at in this report. However, if they improve at least their titles, meta descriptions they should see some improvement. If they are serious about their web business, then they really need to migrate to true SEO web hosting environment. The fastest solution would most likely be moving to Wordpress or Joomla, then optimizing accordingly.
